LIFTING WITH CONFIDENCE

Safe lifting operations rely on equipment that is regularly inspected, correctly assessed and trusted in use. Amtek provides independent lifting equipment inspections carried out by engineers who understand how lifting tools behave in real service conditions, not just how they appear during a quick visual check.

We inspect lifting frames, stillages, spreader beams, lifting attachments, slings, shackles and other handling tools used across manufacturing, maintenance and assembly environments. Our service supports organisations that need efficient, compliant inspections, as well as those with bespoke or critical lifting equipment who value deeper engineering insight.

WHAT WE OFFER

Our inspectors assess each item for signs of wear, cracking, corrosion, deformation, weld degradation and any movement or misalignment that may develop through repeated loading cycles. Because our engineers also design and analyse lifting systems in other areas of the business, they can recognise early indicators of fatigue or misuse that routine checks may overlook.

Where appropriate, we can discuss with operators how the equipment is used day to day. Understanding duty cycles, storage conditions and the types of loads being handled helps us provide practical recommendations without overcomplicating the process. Customers who simply require fast, compliant inspections receive a streamlined service, while those managing specialist lifting tools benefit from additional engineering awareness.

KEY OFFERINGS

Comprehensive Inspections

Our engineers assess lifting frames, slings, shackles and attachments for wear, corrosion, deformation and misalignment, ensuring safe, reliable operation.

Bespoke Engineering Insight

We provide deeper analysis for specialised or modified equipment, recognising early fatigue or misuse that routine checks may overlook.

Practical Recommendations

Understanding daily use, duty cycles and storage conditions allows us to offer actionable advice without overcomplicating maintenance procedures.

First-Off & Lifecycle Support

We observe function checks and load tests on new or modified equipment, providing engineering guidance and documented assurance before service use.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

Alongside in-service inspections, Amtek can support first-off manufacture testing for new lifting equipment. Although we do not currently provide load cells or test weights, we can work alongside you and your onsite team to observe function checks or load tests, confirm correct assembly, assess behaviour under load and verify that the tool operates safely before being released into service. This provides an additional engineering perspective at a critical stage in the tool’s lifecycle.

After every inspection or first-off assessment, we issue clear documentation describing the equipment condition, any defects found and recommended actions or timescales. This helps customers maintain compliance, plan maintenance and ensure continued operational safety.

Our work complements statutory inspection schemes and OEM guidance. We provide an additional layer of engineering judgement, particularly valuable for bespoke tools, modified equipment or items without detailed manufacturer documentation.

Whether you operate a large inventory of standard lifting tools or a smaller portfolio of highly specialised equipment, Amtek offers a dependable, engineering-led inspection service that keeps lifting operations safe, compliant and efficient.
